Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd has made a number of changes to play the Rebels on Friday evening in Wellington with the biggest being a start for James Marshall at first five-eighth.

Marshall starts ahead of All Black Beauden Barrett with other changes being Jason Woodward at fullback for the in form Nehe Milner-Skudder and Matt Proctor on the wing in place of Julian Savea.

In the pack, Callum Gibbins gets another chance on the blindside with the injury to Ardie Savea and James Broadhurst comes back into lock after a one week suspension.

Boyd has stated that he has decided to rest some of his players who have played all five matches since the season began.
