Interest and close attention will be the the advice for the visiting Blues team and coach John Kirwan to register their first win in this years 2015 Super 15 clash with the Hurricanes in Palmerston North this evening.
Standing in their way are the in form Canes with three on the trot away wins and they intend to extend that winning record to four.
Debutant Milner-Skudder has overcome a niggling knee injury early in the piece and though coming off the bench during the Canes massive victory over the Force in Perth, his injection 10 minutes from the final whistle was timed superbly.
He grabbed a poor touch finder gathered the ball at pace and split the defense wide open to put All Blacks winger Julian Savea in the corner for the final act of the evening.
Only two changes have been made to the starting line up for the Canes this evening with Milner-Skudder at 15 while injured Cory Jane is replaced by utility back Matt Proctor.
Kirwan will need to inject a more positive team mindset in all facets of play as he and the Blues franchise are well aware of their poor performances thus far early in this season with three straight loses. T
Though the scorelines have been close in all three appearances they all know they will have to be on their game to have a chance of winning on Hurricanes turf.
Both teams are packed with game breakers and game winners but it will be all about making their passes stick, taking advantage of play to grab scoring opportunities, minimising bad ball control and playing to the whistle.
The forward exchanges will determine who gains superiority and whoever comes out on top, both teams have the backs to ignite their skills and talent to keep the crowd on their feet for 80 minutes of non stop rugby.
The teams are evenly matched and this encounter will be a cracker as both teams are known for their running style from all over the park.
