Savea made a number of cameo appearances for the Hurricanes this season after being touted as being the player needed to get the Wellington-based side going this year. However, in his few appearances, though he played well, he failed to have the impact seen in last years ITM Cup for Wellington. Jack Lam had an outstanding season on the open for the Hurricanes and kept Savea out of the starting lineup but with his departure overseas, Savea's signature is a big one. The youngster will kick on in 2015 and have a big season.
Toomaga-Allen had a strong start to this years campaign especially with ball in hand. He and Goodes, who came alive in the latter stages of the season, possess the all skills of the new-age front-rower and are also good signings.
Lee-Lo makes a return to the Hurricanes after a year at the Crusaders where he got limited game time. He is big and strong and will be a good backup to both Ma'a Nonu and Conrad Smith in the midfield.
As for Aso, the 19-year-old was part of the New Zealand Under 20's side and will join the team when his ITM Cup duties with Auckland finish. He is likely to get most of his game time on the wing.
